Zachry Group is seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Boilermaker Helper for an industrial new construction project in Texas. You will read blueprints, fabricate and install structural components, rig and crane equipment, and ensure safe, precise assembly of iron/steel structures.

Responsibilities include aligning and bolting members, performing welding, and adhering to project specifications. The role requires comfort with heights and a full toolbox of required tools.

Competenze

• 4+ years’ experience as a Boilermaker Helper, Boilermaker Ironworker or comparable position
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements
• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300 ft
• Must have all required tools
• Must have reliable transportation
• Prefer experience with industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance of Power Generation machines and equipment
• The preferred candidate will have experience working as a Millwright helper on a new construction project

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope (locations, quantities, sizes)
• Identify tools required for each task
• Identify safety risks and precautions
• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or supervisor instructions
• Hoist equipment into position via bull rigging or crane
• Verify alignment of structural-steel members using plumb bobs/laser/transits
• Connect columns/beams/girders with bolts per drawings
• Bolt aligned members for riveting or bolting
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces
• Read and interpret layout drawings and cut sheets
