Job summary

Zachry Group seeks an experienced Boilermaker to construct iron and steel structures for industrial new construction projects. You will work with the mechanical department and other teams to build according to specifications, read blueprints, identify tools, and ensure safe operations on site.

Responsibilities include fabricating, hoisting, aligning, bolting, and welding components, while meeting safety requirements and working at heights as needed.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities and sizes of materials required.
• Identify tools required for tasks and assess safety risks and precautions.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
• Verify alignment using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits or levels.
• Connect columns, beams and girders with bolts per drawings.
• Bolt aligned structural-steel members for permanent riveting or bolting.
• Cut, bend and weld iron/steel pieces using appropriate tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols and work at heights with fall protection when required.
