Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Boilermaker/Boilermaker Helper to construct iron and steel structures for a Heat Recovery Exchange Generator (HRSG) project. The role involves reading blueprints, fabricating components, and performing alignment and rigging tasks on a gas-fired power unit site.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of boilermaker experience, strong welding/cutting skills, and the ability to work at heights while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience as Boilermaker Helper/Boilermaker Ironworker or comparable position.
• Experience on a Gas-fired Combined-Cycle power unit HRSG unit.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment contingencies (physical, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/specifications to determine scope of work and materials needed.
• Identify tools required for tasks and plan sequencing.
• Assess safety risks and implement precautions to eliminate hazards.
• Fabricate equipment per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment into position using bull rigging or crane.
• Verify alignment of structural-steel members using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
