Job summary

Zachry Group seeks skilled boilermakers for heavy structural work on HRSGs and related steel structures in a high-altitude, construction environment. The role requires operating at heights, reading IFC drawings, fabricating per blueprints, and coordinating rigging and crane operations to ensure safe, accurate assembly.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years’ boilermaker or equivalent experience, own tools, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass drug and MVR checks.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years’ experience in boilermaker-related roles or comparable craft.
• Experience with HRSG and gas-fired power units preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs (IFC).
• Able to meet physical requirements and work at heights.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug screen and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, quantities and material sizes.
• Identify tools required for tasks and assess safety risks.
• Fabricate equipment according to drawings and supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment into position via bull rigging or crane.
• Verify alignment of structural-steel members using plumb bobs or laser.
• Connect columns, beams and girders; bolt for permanent rivet/bolting.
• Weld and cut iron/steel pieces as required.
• Plan work and coordinate helpers to execute tasks efficiently.
