Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Boilermaker to construct iron/steel structures per specifications for HRSG and related new-construction projects. Expect work on gas-fired power-unit HRSGs and auxiliary structures. Strong blueprint reading, rigging, welding, and fabrication skills required.

Applicants should have 4+ years in boilermaker-related roles, substantial height work, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings. This on-site position offers challenging, hands-on, field-based work.

Qualifications

• Leadership abilities.
• Lead erection of steel, fabrication and rigging.
• Ability to read IFC drawings and cut sheets.
• Read and interpret craft specs and notes.
• Rigging knowledge and safe practices.
• Welding and cutting with torches and machines.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work.
• Identify tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions.
• Fabricate equipment according to blueprints.
• Hoist equipment into position via bull rigging or crane.
• Verify alignment of structural-steel members.
• Connect columns, beams and girders as per drawings.
• Bolt aligned members for riveting or bolting.
• Move iron/steel into position for assembly.
• Cut, bend and weld iron/steel pieces.
