Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Boilermaker to construct iron/steel structures to exact specifications. You will contribute to HRSG installation and other structures on a new construction project, reading blueprints, fabricating, and rigging with a focus on safety.

The role demands 4+ years’ experience in boilermaking or related fields, ability to work at heights, and proficiency with welding, cutting, and rigging. Strong knowledge of drawings and safe work practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years’ experience as Boilermaker/ironworker or comparable role.
• Experience on a Gas-fired Combined-Cycle HRSG unit.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements and safety standards.
• Read and interpret IFC drawings and craft specs.
• Ability to plan, lay out and execute fabrication from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, determine scope, locations, quantities and sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required and safety risks; take corrective precautions.
• Fabricate equipment per blueprints and supervisor instructions.
• Hoist equipment via bull rigging or crane; verify alignment with measurements.
• Connect columns, beams and girders; bolt and rivet as required.
• Cut, bend and weld iron/steel pieces using torches and welding equipment.
