Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks a Sr. Principal Avionics Lead to guide a cross-disciplinary team through the design, integration, and test of advanced electronic systems. You will own technical integrity, data package validation, and risk management for complex avionics hardware.

Qualified candidates have a decade in analog/digital/power electronics, subsystem architecture, and supplier management, with active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM is required.
• Ten years of experience in electronics design, integration, and production support.
• Experience transforming high level requirements into actionable electronics design and subsystem architectures.
• Experience with electrical sub-systems, systems engineering, requirement development/validation, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams through hardware design, verification, and integration.
• OverseeTechnical Data Package development, validation, and integration with test equipment.
• Manage costs and schedule for design, verification, and procurement.
• Lead risk management and failure investigations for electronics.
• Guide transitions to production and early production units.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and program management.
• Travel as required.
