Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks a Sr. Principal Avionics Lead to direct an electrical design and integration team, delivering circuit card design, procurement, test and integration across hardware programs.

You will mentor engineers, manage technical risk and ensure schedule, cost, and technical integrity of electronics, working with government customers and suppliers in a lab/office setting with possible travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in subassembly design, analog/digital/power electronics, and production support.
• Strong ability to translate high-level requirements into actionable designs and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and integration for multiple circuits across programs.
• Oversee design, procurement, testing, verification, and transition to production.
• Provide technical risk management and root-cause analysis for electronics
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers, programs, and suppliers; travel as needed
