Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks a Sr. Principal Avionics Lead to drive a cross‑discipline design, integration and verification effort for complex electronic systems. You will own technical, cost and schedule execution, ensuring electronics integrity and successful data‑package handoff with test equipment.

This role requires a STEM degree, 10+ years in electronics, and active DoD Secret clearance. Travel may be required; relocation is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in subassembly design, analog/digital/power electronics design and production support.
• Experience turning high-level requirements into actionable electronics design and architectures.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional and cross‑discipline teams through design, verification and hardware procurement.
• Maintain technical integrity of electronics, including TDP development and TE integration.
• Manage cost and schedule for design, verification, and production transition.
• Mentor team members and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and program leadership.
