The Technical Operations Supervisor role blends advanced technician duties with operations and logistics, supporting daily AV operations across venues while actively contributing to event execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in audiovisual event production.
• Strong knowledge across audio, video, lighting, and meeting room systems.
• Reliability, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Access to reliable transport to travel between venues.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Footwear meeting ASTM F2413 standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist DET’s in coordinating daily AV operations within assigned venues.
• Review event orders and assist in preparing crew pull-sheets, equipment logistics and labor planning.
• Coordinate event logistics including load-in, setup schedules, and strike timing.
• Serve as a lead technician on events as required.
• Oversee equipment setup and ensure events are executed according to plan.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem solving during events.
• Serve as a technical liaison between AV Concepts, venue staff, and clients.
• Participate in pre-event planning meetings and venue meetings as required.
• Ensure client needs and event requirements are clearly communicated to technicians.
• Review and adjust orders ensuring accuracy in order logistics timing, correct equipment and labor assignments.
• Provide guidance and direction to technicians during events.
• Assist with onboarding, training and mentorship of technicians.
• Models and reinforces a positive working environment centered around company values.
