Job summary

Icahn Automotive Group seeks an experienced Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, and to lead a team by mentoring colleagues while educating customers on issues and proposed solutions.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on automotive experience, multiple ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. You will drive service quality, maintain shop organization, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and successful pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers as required.
• Mentor and lead a shop team; help develop the team around you.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop; adhere to all policies and safety rules.
