Job summary
Icahn Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers and stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology.
You will train and mentor teammates, maintain a clean, organized shop, and adhere to safety and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 6 months automotive repair experience.
- Section 609 Certification preferred.
- State Inspection license if applicable.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Pre-employment background check.
- Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment; perform maintenance services.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
- Continuously learn new automotive technology and techniques in formal training.
- Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
- Maintain organized and neat shop.
- Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
