Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, educate customers on problems and proposed solutions, and lead a team to enhance customer care and satisfaction.

The role requires ASE-certified experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with customers and staff across shifts. Training is provided to stay current with automotive tech.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; automotive knowledge and experience preferred.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications are preferred; include A4, A5 and two of A1/A6/A7/A8/L1.
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, suspension, A/C and electrical systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff clearly.
• Mentor and lead team to improve customer care and service quality.
• Stay updated with new automotive technologies through training.
• Maintain organized shop and adhere to safety and company policies.
