Job summary

Pep Boys in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to lead a shop team focused on exceptional customer care. You will diagnose, repair and explain repairs, while mentoring colleagues and staying current with evolving automotive technology.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on diagnostic and repair experience, multiple ASE certs (including A4/A5 and at least two others), a 609 certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 and two from A1/A6/A7/A8/L1).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition and electrical systems to specifications.
• Repair suspension, alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers as needed.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain an organized, safe and clean shop environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
