Job summary

KETTLER is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for Miramar Apartments in Washington, DC. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on general maintenance, repairs in apartments and buildings, and maintaining curb appeal and quality of homes.

Responsibilities include responding to resident maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, supporting budgets and administrative tasks, completing make-ready inspections, and coordinating with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Universal EPA/CFC Certification.
• Mastery of appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.
• Strong understanding of HVAC repair.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to live within 30 minutes of the property.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be available for after-hours on-call maintenance (nights/weekends).
• Personal transportation to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Participating in all maintenance projects.
• Performing general repair of property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• Supporting the Maintenance Manager with budgets and other administrative tasks.
• Responding to resident requests for maintenance and service within HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair; escalate as needed.
• Preventive maintenance repair on all systems at the property.
• Completing the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing by inspecting and coordinating with vendors.
• Demonstrating customer service by treating residents with respect and resolving issues promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
