Job summary

KETTLER is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician in Cary, NC to perform general maintenance, repairs in apartments and buildings, and uphold curb appeal and quality of homes. You will respond to resident service requests, assist with budgets, and support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.

The role requires 3+ years of apartment maintenance, EPA/CFC certification, and strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repair skills. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be responsible for taking calls for after-hours emergency maintenance; nights and weekends on rotation.
• Must have a valid driver's license and live within 30 minutes of the property.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs on property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with budgets and administrative tasks.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Schedule and coordinate vendors for make-ready and punch-list items.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on all property systems.
• Complete make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Demonstrate strong customer service with residents and prioritize timely, quality work.
• Other duties as assigned.
