Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee maintenance across the property, perform repairs in resident apartments, and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready). The role requires at least two years in apartment maintenance or related trades with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills.

You will supervise subcontractors, maintain safety and records, and ensure timely response to work orders.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants (EPA)
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to work at other locations and travel within metropolitan areas; possible overnight stays.
• Ability to work some weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform repairs in units and common areas including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Oversee make-ready refurbishments prior to resident occupancy.
• Manage stock, supplies, and communicate with vendors.
• Supervise subcontractors and assist in inspections and move-in/move-out processes.
