Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to help shape the future of reading by building Fable for Android. You’ll lead features across the app and drive performance, stability, and quality.

You will own the Android architecture from concept to release, collaborating with product, design, and QA to deliver polished, accessible experiences for a growing reading community. Knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience building consumer apps at scale.
• Strong Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flows, MVVM or MVI.
• Attention to usability, accessibility, and performance.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, QA.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality Android experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, QE, and engineers to deliver performant features.
• Strengthen app architecture and performance.
• Contribute to technical direction and Android foundations.
