Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join the Fable team and lead Android development across the app.

You will design high-quality experiences, drive architectural roadmap, and partner with product, design, and QA to ship features that are fast, accessible, and visually polished. You will mentor teammates, influence technical direction, and help the team move cohesively while embracing AI tooling to boost velocity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Android development and shipping consumer apps at scale.
• Proficient in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flows, and modern Android patterns (MVVM/MVI).
• Strong focus on usability, accessibility, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality Android experiences for Fable.
• Collaborate with product, design, QE, and engineers to deliver performant, intuitive features.
• Strengthen app architecture and performance across the Android codebase.
• Contribute to technical direction and evolution of Fable’s Android foundations.
