Job summary

Amentum in Savannah, GA is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to perform the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification of structures and components of moderate difficulty.

You will maintain and repair components, apply technical knowledge for malfunctions, and assist in inspections. You may lead teams on complex tasks and ensure compliance with FAA and DoD guidance while documenting work in logs.

Qualifications

• Valid up-to-date A&P license.
• Two years aviation maintenance experience; three years rotary wing experience.
• Must be able to obtain facility credentials/authorization; US citizenship required.
• Must provide own tools shadowed and etched with PID.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.
• Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose malfunctions and restore operation.
• Leads teams through complex tasks when required and records maintenance actions in aircraft logs.
• Reads and interprets technical manuals and publishes guidance to ensure compliance and safety.
