Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Avionics to perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and components. You will apply advanced technical knowledge to diagnose and repair complex systems and educate teammates as needed.

Responsibilities include testing avionics/electrical systems, reading blueprints and publications, and supporting aircrew de-briefs. Role may require lifting up to 70 pounds, and will involve hangar work and occasional off-site

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience within the last eight years in their specific aircraft maintenance occupational field.
  • Must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any company/government required qualifications, certifications, licensing, or clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of weapons systems, complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance and communication during aircrew de-brief.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, directives, planning documents, test specs and manuals.
  • This work is performed in hangar/shop/flight line environments and may require lifting up to 70 pounds.
