Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to support high‑priority HQ USAF operations and safe transport for senior officials. You will perform complex maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft engines and structures, using precise tools and following technical manuals.

You may work day, night, or weekend shifts and must maintain safety and quality in all tasks. Ideal candidates hold an FAA A&P certificate, a high school diploma or GED, and have strong diagram reading skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess FAA A&P certificate.
• Knowledge of aircraft hand tools, test equipment and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft and engines.
• Repair/modify airframe structures and components; troubleshoot complex systems.
• Inspect aircraft per preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight procedures.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist with aircraft movement.
• Record maintenance actions in aircraft logs and IMDS.
• Work various shifts including weekends as needed.
