Job summary

ACET, Incorporated, seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III - Avionics/Electrician at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. This hands‑on maintenance team lead role supervises subordinate mechanics, directs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and provides expert technical guidance on the supported airframe to ensure mission readiness.

The position requires certifying inspection authority over Mechanics I–III, diagnosing and repairing complex avionics/electrical systems, structures, and engines, and

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Proven leadership in aviation maintenance.
• Deep knowledge of avionics/electrical systems.
• Experience as a final inspector over junior technicians.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet schedules.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanics to meet aircraft delivery schedules and coordinate daily team tasks.
• Serve as certifying inspector with authorized sign‑off power over maintenance duties of junior personnel.
• Direct troubleshooting, repair, and testing of complex avionics suites and wiring networks.
• Troubleshoot and modify aircraft structures, flight controls, and engines with high technical difficulty.
• Provide technical support to engineers and external customers; translate field issues into engineering inputs.
• Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and manufacturer manuals to solve complex issues.
• Train teams on specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Verify documentation accuracy and log entries in aircraft records.
