Job summary

GLSS is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III - Avionics/Electrician for Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. The role requires extensive fighter jet experience, avionics/electrical expertise, and an active DOW Secret clearance.

You will repair and maintain components, lead teams, and ensure mission readiness at a high tempo. Responsibilities include managing complex diagnostics, implementing changes, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; military avionics knowledge preferred.
• Graduate of F-15 avionics/electrical program is highly desirable.
• Five+ years maintaining fighter jets and avionics/electrical systems preferred.
• Formal fiber optic installation/inspection/maintenance experience required.
• Active DOW Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and modify aircraft structures, engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Lead teams on complex tasks and prioritize workloads for missions.
• Apply knowledge of airframe/powerplant systems to diagnose malfunctions.
• Assist in MEC, ECOD and MW0 change recommendations as needed.
• Document entries in aircraft logs/records and maintain schedules.
