Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II - Avionics/Electrician at Mountain Home AFB, ID. The role combines aircraft electrical theory with mechanical skills to restore airframe and powerplant systems to mission readiness.

As a Tier II mechanic, you will manage shifting workloads to meet deadlines, provide data inputs for engineering changes, and occasionally lead field teams while inspecting and signing off on peer work.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Clearance required to access airfield.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and avionics.
• Experience in airframe maintenance and powerplant troubleshooting.
• Mastery of electronics test equipment and precision tools.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, logs and data sheets.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft electrical systems, wiring harnesses, avionics components, and interconnected electrical networks of moderate difficulty.
• Diagnose malfunctions in flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.
• Provide data inputs for MEC and ECOD, assist MWOs with modifications.
• Lead maintenance teams through complex electrical tasks and approve peer work.
• Interpret complex electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to solve issues.
• Operate avionics test equipment and basic sheet metal tools for integration tasks.
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and records.
