Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to lead the vision and execution of its next-generation AI platform, focusing on autonomous workflows and agentic architectures. You will architect production-grade systems where AI agents reason, act, and safely execute workflows at scale, collaborating with Product, Applied Research and leadership.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and may be based in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience with AI/LLM platforms and agent architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural roadmap and delivery of agentic infrastructure and orchestration layers.
• Mentor engineers and define technical standards for AI-native SDLC.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Applied Research to align execution with strategy.
• Research and implement agent frameworks and safety guardrails.
