Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered autonomous workflows that reduce manual effort across the organization. The role requires self-motivation, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving tech environment.

You will build multi-step agent pipelines, integrate with enterprise systems, apply security-by-design, and collaborate with backend and business teams to translate use cases into working prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical AI project experience.
• 4+ years in IT/software engineering or integration environments.
• Hands-on AI/automation/orchestration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM-powered agentic workflows with Azure AI Foundry and Claude APIs.
• Develop multi-step AI agent pipelines with LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel.
• Integrate with enterprise systems like ServiceNow and ERP platforms.
• Implement MCP integrations for secure data access in AI agents.
• Apply security-by-design, prompt safety, and least privilege principles.
• Collaborate with Backend Integration Engineer to connect APIs and MCP endpoints.
• Work with AI Business Analyst to translate use cases into prototypes.
• Participate in code reviews and document engineering standards.
• Stay current with evolving AI tooling and agentic design patterns.
