Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a senior engineer to lead the vision, architecture, and execution of its next‑generation Agentic AI platform in California. You will work with Product, Applied Research, Design and executive leadership to build production‑grade systems where AI agents reason, act, and safely execute workflows at scale.

You will shape real‑time orchestration, memory architectures, and evaluation/observability, driving an AI‑native culture across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
• Strong background in scaling distributed systems and production‑grade infrastructure.
• Experience leading AI/LLM platforms and agent architectures.
• Ability to lead a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Strategy: Own architectural roadmap and delivery of Dialpad’s Agentic infrastructure and orchestration layers.
• Build & Scale: Design and deploy scalable AI agents with autonomous support and secure API tool execution.
• Mentor & Influence: Set technical standards, grow engineers, and drive AI‑native SDLC practices.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Align engineering with Product, Applied Research and leadership.
• Push the Frontier: Research agent frameworks, LLM optimization, and safety guardrails.
