Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Model Engineering to lead modern AI engineering and scalable data/AI solutions for diverse clients on the Databricks platform. You will guide teams across data pipelines, AI models, and enterprise data products, balancing business needs with responsible deployment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree).
• 6–10 years of relevant AI, data science, and/or machine learning experience.
• 2–4 years of experience directly managing technical teams.
• 3–4 years of experience building and deploying production AI/ML solutions on Databricks.
• Databricks certification with Data Engineer/ML, or related credentials, preferred.
• Strong Python, PySpark, and/or Scala skills.
• Ability to lead, collaborate with, and communicate with diverse, hybrid and global teams.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps/AgentOps and Databricks tooling.
• Experience designing ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge graphs, or semantic data models.
• Product-centric development experience translating business needs into outcomes.
• Strong math, statistics, and operations research foundation.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI workstreams from design through production deployment on the Databricks platform.
• Build data engineering pipelines and AI solutions (ML, generative AI, agentic AI) on Databricks.
• Improve processes via research and analysis to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams with responsibility for quality and responsible deployment.
• Engage with clients in daily sessions, guiding workstreams from planning to closure.
• Design, build, and govern ontologies and semantic models for AI solutions and data products.
• Apply a product-centric approach to define user needs, prioritize capabilities, and deliver value.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and manage engagement economics.
