Job summary

K Group Companies in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Field Service Technician II to lead installation teams, configure and program devices, and oversee system commissioning for diverse projects.

You will mentor Level I installers, manage service tickets, and coordinate with Project Managers and customers. The role requires 2+ years in construction, strong electrical and networking knowledge, and experience with nurse call, CCTV, and access systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a construction trade
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage)
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking, VoIP)
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Team management/supervisor experience

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I responsibilities following documentation to uphold high standards
• Mentor Level I installers when leading a team
• Maintain clear communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers and customers
• Perform FAT (Factory Authorized Testing) before installation
• Configure and commission systems for reliable operation
• Lead installation projects and ensure quality outcomes
