Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to join our Blaine, Minnesota team. This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership, and hands-on installation experience across nurse call, access control, and video surveillance systems.

You will configure, program, and commission systems, mentor Level 1 installers, and coordinate with project staff to ensure timely, quality project delivery. A valid US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction trade experience.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are required.
• Valid USDriver’s license is required.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Experience leading installation teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level I installer duties following documented standards.
• Manage project/service tickets with timely updates and organization.
• Own tasks from start to finish, delivering quality results.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team to foster growth.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Communicate with Project Coordinators, Managers and customers as needed.
• Work with nurse call, access control and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue leadership and communication training for team contribution.
• Complete FAT testing to ensure highest quality and performance.
