Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to support installations in Burnsville, Minnesota. The role expands Level I duties with leadership, advanced device configuration, system commissioning, and client training at a basic operations level.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in construction trades, strong electrical knowledge, and experience with nurse call, CCTV, and access systems. Travel and on-site work are expected in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high and/or low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, general networking).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Reading architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities per documentation.
• Maintain project/service tickets with timely updates.
• Lead and delegate tasks within the team’s capabilities.
• Mentor Level 1 installers and seek feedback for improvement.
• Communicate with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in leadership and communication.
• Perform FAT testing of products before installation.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable solutions.
