Job summary

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center seeks a Communications Coordinator to develop and enforce policies, supervise 911 staff, and ensure compliant, high-quality dispatch operations. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 18+ years old.
• Minimum five years in emergency dispatch or five years in law enforcement with telecommunications experience.
• TCOLE Advanced or Master Telecommunications Operator Certification; knowledge of TLETS; 911 operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and enforce operational policies for the Emergency Communications Center.
• Supervise and evaluate 911 staff; provide feedback to ensure quality service and compliance with laws and guidelines.
• Schedule personnel and ensure each shift is adequately staffed; coordinate with other agencies as needed.
• Respond to inquiries or complaints about Communications Center operations; research and resolve issues.
• Operate CAD and TCIC/NCIC systems and maintain confidential data.
