Essenti Talent is seeking a Production Supervisor for a top-tier automotive supplier in Grand Rapids, MI. The role leads second-shift paint operations, overseeing one Team Leader and about 25 employees across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, material handling, and quality auditing in a unionized facility.

The position emphasizes safety, on-time delivery, productivity, and employee engagement, with hands-on leadership and active problem-solving to maintain coating quality and line

Competenze

• Supervisory experience in high-volume production.
• Ability to lead second shift and meet safety/quality goals.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Coach and oversee one Team Leader and ~25 production employees.
• Assign labor/resources to meet daily production requirements.
• Monitor paint-line performance and take corrective action as needed.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures and regs.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Production to resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot automated paint line, robotics, conveyors and related equipment.
• Ensure materials are staged and tracked for uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and provide effective handovers.
• Train and develop employees and reinforce standardized work.
• Drive Lean, 5S, root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement.
