Job Title: Lawson Financial Systems Analyst

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract

Overview

The Lawson FIN Systems Analyst supports the selection, installation, configuration, implementation, and ongoing utilization of financial systems (ERP) including budget, forecasting, productivity, statistical grant reporting, and other related databases. Develops reports and analyses to support Grants Management and other Research Financial activities. Assists leadership by providing insights on financial trends, risks, and opportunities. Maintains application interfaces, monitors system performance, and supports financial control processes. Performs financial and statistical analyses, develops reports, and maintains operational understanding to support monthly and annual processes, reporting, and financial counseling. Manages project tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• System administration in conjunction with component management, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Support for budget, forecast, productivity, and financial systems.
• Develop reports and analyses to assess the reasonableness of financial assumptions, identify trends, risks, and opportunities using ERP tables, Budget Accountant, Perceptive Content, and Research Finance Database.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to assist with process flow improvements.
• Assist customers with ad hoc reporting across the enterprise.
• Monitor daily interface of ERP data tables to Budget Accountant and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 7 years in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or financial systems administration.
• Strong experience with Lawson version 10 supporting analysis, administration, and report creation.
• Additional 3 years of experience in financial analysis or budgeting in a hospital setting may substitute for CPA, MBA, or MHA qualifications, totaling 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, productivity, statistical, and management reporting applications and systems.
• Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable to change.
• Experience with financial data and systems management, project management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
