Job summary

Swanson Martin & Bell, LLP is seeking a Collections Specialist to assist attorneys in managing client account portfolios and ensuring accurate balance information for all monies due to the Firm.

The role involves handling aged receivables, communicating with clients to collect delinquent invoices, and coordinating with Cash Receipts and Billing to resolve disputes, with strong attention to posting accuracy and detailed documentation. Law-firm experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years previous high-volume collections experience.
• Professional demeanor with attorneys and billing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage an account portfolio and assist in aged receivables reconciliation.
• Review aging reports and initiate resolution of receivables.
• Collaborate with Cash Receipts and Billing to resolve disputes over payments.
• Post charges, payments and adjustments accurately in the billing system.
• Notate information for future reference and prepare written summaries for collections.
• Monitor collections process and notify attorneys of delinquencies.
