Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the firm's Finance Department. The role offers remote work flexibility from select US states and requires 3+ years of law firm collections experience.

You will prepare AR reports, coordinate with billing teams, and communicate with clients and adjusters to resolve past-due balances while maintaining accurate records in the finance system. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in law firm collections and working with attorneys and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in finance systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, generate, and review monthly receivables reports for Matter Billing Partners
• Maintain accurate records of open receivables and collection attempts
• Research invoice statuses on multiple billing websites
• Contact client adjusters via email, phone and/or fax regarding past due invoices
• Forward invoices and billing histories to clients as appropriate
• Maintain records of client responses; escalate as needed
• Maintain regular contact with Matter Billing Partners about AR status
• Request assistance from partners for collections
• Monitor partner AR reports for payments and status
• Write off remaining balances with appropriate authorization
