Career Legal is seeking a Collections Associate to support its Collections Manager across offices and manage client collections for accounts receivable. The role focuses on coordinating with partners, chasing debts, resolving e-billing queries, and maintaining accurate updates in collections systems.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in business-related fields and 3+ years of collections experience in professional services, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• 3+ years of collections experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Ability to build rapport at all levels of an organization with internal and external clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to competing demands from clients and internal teams.
• Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using AR/debt management systems to focus collections efforts and track queries.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support partner and fee-earner collections meetings, working closely with billers to ensure a seamless process and swift query resolution.
• Chase outstanding debts using established collections processes.
• Investigate and resolve e-billing queries.
• Liaise with Collections Manager and team to deliver solutions for partners and fee-earners.
• Escalate AR queries promptly to support speedy resolution.
• Maintain updates in the firm's collections tool with work allocation, priorities, and cashflow estimates.
• Escalate outstanding bills at risk of non-recovery in a timely and accurate manner.
• Build and maintain a network of client finance contacts.
