Job summary

JGS Lifecare is seeking a Laundry Assistant for JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Massachusetts. This full-time role supports our resident care by handling laundry operations, ensuring clean linens, and contributing to a comfortable living environment.

The position offers shift options (5:30AM - 1:30PM or 6:30AM - 2:30PM) with weekend/holiday rotations and an hourly wage of $16.00 - $18.00, commensurate with experience. English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in healthcare or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry according to facility procedures.
• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and operate equipment properly.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures when handling laundry.
