Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. The role involves daily housekeeping duties, linen/laundry tasks, and adherence to infection-control standards while interacting with residents in a compassionate manner.

The position is part-time (PRN) with shifts 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 5:00 PM–11:00 PM, including weekends and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in housekeeping or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in resident rooms and common areas, following established sanitation and infection-control standards.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and waste removal.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to facility policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous, and compassionate manner, supporting their comfort and dignity.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual resident concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Comply with all safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and community policies.
