Job summary

JGS Lifecare is hiring a Laundry Assistant in Longmeadow, MA. This full-time role supports resident care by maintaining clean linens and uniforms, operating laundry equipment, and following infection-control procedures. Shifts run 5:30AM–1:30PM or 6:30AM–2:30PM, with weekend and holiday rotations.

You’ll be part of a team that values compassion, reliability, and respect for residents. Candidates must be 18+ and proficient in English; healthcare or senior living laundry experience is preferred,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living laundry preferred.
• Able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry according to facility procedures.
• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and operate equipment properly.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures when handling laundry.
