Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home is hiring a part-time/PRN Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Shifts are 7:00AM–3:00PM or 5:00PM–11:00PM, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities include daily housekeeping, laundry, safe use of cleaning products, respectful interactions with residents, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and retirement planning options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in resident rooms and common areas, following established sanitation and infection-control standards.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and waste removal.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to facility policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous, and compassionate manner, supporting their comfort and dignity.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual resident concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Comply with all safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and community policies.
