Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Longmeadow, MA is seeking a part-time, PRN Housekeeper. Shifts include 7:00AM-3:00PM, 5:00PM-11:00PM, with weekend and holiday rotations. $16.00-$18.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents. Ideal candidates will be at least 18, have housekeeping or senior living experience, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping or senior living preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in resident rooms and common areas, following established sanitation and infection-control standards.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and waste removal.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to facility policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous, and compassionate manner, supporting their comfort and dignity.
• Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual resident concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Comply with all safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and community policies.
