Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the Neutron program, focusing on integration, test, and launch of the Neutron Launch Vehicle. You will help develop processes, build ground support tooling, and drive procedures for assembly and system checkouts.

The role requires a B.S. in aerospace/mechanical/manufacturing engineering and 2+ years of related hardware experience. Strong writing of work instructions and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of hardware build/test experience for launch vehicle and environments.
• Proficient in authoring work instructions and procedures for assembly, test and launch.
• Ability to interface with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop con-ops and build of ground support tooling and processes for Neutron.
• Develop and execute procedures for integrating Neutron flight hardware and ground support equipment.
• Support Integration Manager in day-to-day vehicle integration activities and testing.
• Develop and maintain work procedures, non-conformances, and documentation.

Education

Bachelor of Science in aerospace/mechanical/manufacturing engineering

Master of Science degree (nice to have) in aerospace/mechanical/manufacturing
