Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager for Launch Vehicle Electronic Systems to drive production flow, NPIs, and cost management across engineering and manufacturing. You will own sourcing strategies and partner with teams to ensure on-time delivery and robust supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or 3+ years of experience in one or more areas; or bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in the field.
• Experience in electronics industry is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytics and program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Show initiative in developing new methods to ensure high-quality product and efficient processes.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and supplier capabilities.
• Inform DFM discussions based on vendor feedback.
• Ensure partners support prototype builds with equipment and materials for successful development and ramp-up.
• Develop sourcing and cost-management strategies for existing platforms and new products.
• Present value propositions to leadership including contract, cost reviews and critical supply issues.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and develop should-cost models for analysis.
• Create roadmaps for current commodities and future programs.
• Act as liaison between supply chain and engineering for supplier down-selection during NPI.
• Maintain strong relationships across disciplines and management levels.
• Manage supply base from concept to end of life, ensuring on-time delivery.
