Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Planner (Launch Vehicle Electronic Systems) in Hawthorne, CA to drive sourcing, BOM accuracy, and supplier collaboration.

The role supports production flow, launch manifests, and NPI sourcing strategies within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate lead times, driving cost and delivery performance, and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to achieve program goals.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, or production planning.
• Experience in material planning, operations management, or supply chain management is required.
• Knowledge of MRP, lead times, and supplier relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, improve, and execute sourcing strategies with metrics for end-to-end production success.
• Maintain accurate assemblies (BOMs), lead times, and inventory levels to mitigate shortages.
• Facilitate make-vs-buy decisions, launch new product introductions, and conduct should-cost modeling.
