Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager (Launch Vehicle Electronics Systems) in Hawthorne, CA to lead electronics procurement across PCB, PCBA, and instrumentation. You will build global supplier networks, drive cost reductions, and partner with engineering on manufacturability and supplier selection.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and the ability to manage complex sourcing programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years, or 9+ years total in the field.
• Experience with electronics procurement and cost management.
• Experience reading drawings, fab notes, BOMs and manufacturing complexities.

Responsibilities

• Create sourcing strategies for electronics categories to reduce risk and meet cost targets.
• Develop and manage domestic and international supplier base and ensure category strategy compliance.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize price, terms, and delivery performance.
• Perform spend analysis, capacity, and financial impact assessments.
• Lead RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and manage supplier evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and supplier recommendations.
• Monitor SLAs, KPIs and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Provide guidance on design for manufacturability and part selection.
