Job summary

SpaceX, based in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Planner for Launch Vehicle Electronic Systems to manage end-to-end procurement, BOM accuracy, lead times, and supplier collaboration to support flight hardware.

This role partners with engineering and manufacturing, travels up to 35%, and requires an advanced degree or 6+ years in supply chain with strong negotiation and analytics.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree; or bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, improve, and execute sourcing strategies with end-to-end metrics for production success.
• Maintain accurate assemblies configurations (BOMs); ensure lead times and inventory levels.
• Facilitate make vs. buy decisions; launch new products; conduct should-cost modeling.
• Conduct risk analysis across demand, supply, and lead-time stack-ups.
• Optimize logistics, manufacturing, quality, ordering/redistribution policies.
• Support supplier visits to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals with strategic suppliers.
• Lead initiatives to improve performance and sourcing strategy alignment with SpaceX goals.
• Be the go-to resource for engineering, supply chain, and build reliability stakeholders.
