Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to drive material requirements planning, purchasing, supplier delivery and inventory control for Falcon, Dragon, and Starfall programs.

The role partners with engineering and manufacturing to ensure prototype builds, ramping and production meet schedules and cost targets. Travel may be required; onsite work in Hawthorne is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience in supply chain or 9+ years overall.
• Experience with cost controls and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing and cost management strategies to support platforms and new products.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure material availability for prototypes and production.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery and cost targets.
• Present value propositions and support contract awards and cost reviews.
