Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of our novel mental health therapy at certified treatment centers within a defined US territory. This field-based role emphasizes clinical education, account management, and patient access, with travel up to 70%.

You will build partnerships with psychiatrists and healthcare systems, align with regulatory and safety requirements, and support onboarding and site readiness to enable treatment delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets is preferred.
• Knowledge of payer processes, access and reimbursement is desirable.
• Experience launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and behavioral health systems.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant, and compelling product education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and support providers with referral pathways.
• Collaborate with treatment sites to support onboarding and optimization of delivery workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, including scheduling and patient flow.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations for coordinated execution.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and resolving access challenges.
• Gather and communicate field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization.
• Manage territory business planning, including account prioritization and calls.
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, patient-centric behavior in engagements.
• Contribute to collaboration and continuous learning within sales.
